Mug Exchange – small mugs, big journeys

A small new feature has appeared outside the roastery: a cupboard shaped like a coffee cup, filled with a few old mugs – each with its own story. This is where our Mug Exchange begins.

The idea is simple – yet a little special:
Take a mug, leave a mug.

Maybe you have a mug at home that you like but no longer use. Or perhaps you will find one here that joins you on your journey. In this way, everyday objects can find a new life while creating small connections between people and places.

We were inspired by a movement that started in the United States, spreading small moments of joy and a sense of community through simple exchanges. In many places around the world there are already small shelves where books change owners – here, coffee mugs continue the journey instead. Every mug carries its own little story. Perhaps it stood in a kitchen for many years, travelled along on trips, or was part of someone’s morning ritual. When the mug changes place, its story continues somewhere new.

Our mug cupboard was built by Bosse, a local carpenter who helped bring this idea to life. With great care and warmth, he created a place where mugs can meet, be exchanged and travel onwards.
