More about this coffee:
Mexico is known for its diversity of high-quality coffees – from light, fruity cups to sweeter profiles with caramel and chocolate notes.
This coffee is grown at Finca Monte Grande in Jaltenango de la Paz, Chiapas, at the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains, close to the Guatemalan border and the Pacific Ocean.
Established in 1917, the farm is now run by the third generation of the Moises family, with sustainability and environmental responsibility at its core.
A private hydroelectric plant powers the mill, native trees are planted to provide shade and improve soil quality, and all organic waste is reused as natural fertilizer.
The wet mill at Finca Monte Grande is a model of water efficiency, using only about 5% of the water volume compared to traditional mills.
With around 200 dedicated employees, the farm combines high productivity with great care for both people and nature.
