Cold Brew – chilled coffee with summer vibes

In recent years, Cold Brew has become a true summer favorite among coffee lovers – and it’s easy to see why. This slow, cold brewing method brings out completely new flavor profiles, resulting in a smooth, refreshing and energizing drink that’s perfect for warm days.

What is Cold Brew?
Cold Brew is coffee that’s brewed with cold water over a long period – typically 12–24 hours. Unlike iced coffee, which is brewed hot and then cooled down, Cold Brew is much smoother and less bitter. The long extraction time brings out more sweetness, fruitiness, and balance in the cup.

How should the coffee be ground?
To get a good result, use coarsely ground coffee – about the texture of raw sugar. Coffee that’s ground too finely will make the brew cloudy and hard to strain. Don’t have a grinder? No problem – when ordering from us, you can choose the "coarse grind" option.

Do I need special equipment?
Nope! No need to invest in fancy gear. A French Press, a big jar, or a carafe with a lid is enough. Once brewed, simply strain the coffee through a regular coffee filter or a fine sieve.

Which coffee works best?
All our coffees are high-quality specialty grade, but some shine particularly bright as Cold Brew. Here are our top three picks:

Want to take it to the next level?
Cold Brew makes a great base for creative coffee drinks. Our favorite: Cold Brew Tonic! Serve over ice with tonic water and a slice of lemon – fresh, fizzy, and stylish. See the recipe here.

Cold Brew FAQ

How long does Cold Brew keep in the fridge?
Up to a week – store it covered and cold. The flavor might evolve a bit over time, but it will stay fresh.

Can I use any kind of coffee?
Yes, but light roasts with fruity notes work best. Dark roasts often turn out too bitter.

How much coffee and water should I use?
A good base recipe is 100 g of coffee to 1 liter of cold water.

Should I drink it straight or dilute it?
That’s up to you! Enjoy it as a concentrate or dilute it with water, milk, tonic or oat drink – your choice.
