Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker - 9 cups

The stovetop espresso maker can be found in almost every Italian home. With a stovetop espresso maker you can make coffee that is very close to the traditional italian style espresso coffee. The result is an intense, strong coffee full of flavour, and the coffee is also a good base for specialty milk coffees such as cappuccinos. The father of all stovetop espresso makers, Alfonso Bialetti, designed this classic coffee pot already in 1933. This original Bialetti stovetop coffee maker is still manufactured in Italy.

The Bialetti Moka Express is available in many different sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 12 cups. One cup is equivalent of one small espresso, about 40-50 ml of coffee. There are different sizes of moka brewers, as the filter must always be completely filled with coffee. With a smaller amount, the water comes through too quickly and the coffee becomes underextracted. This is the variant for 9 cups!
